Bridging the gap between art and craft is indigenous, a handcrafted gallery with an eclectic array of contemporary American fine craft from more than 150 artists in our 2,700 square foot gallery in the historic shopping district of O'Bryonville.
Local and regional artists are our focus, with a selection of works from artists throughout the US. The indigenous collection includes hot-worked glass, metal, pottery, jewelry, fiber arts, prints, wood craft, mosaics, paintings, and stained glass. Artists featured at indigenous employ a blend of traditional methods and contemporary design, all honoring the unique qualities imparted when an object is made by hand.
Embrace the arts & crafts tradition and let art become part of your nature!

the next BIG thing:

our featured artists:
Indian Urban Artisans ~a new non-profit group who have created a wonderful collection of clay works. Collaborating with a resident Teaching Artist, this unique vocational studio employs artists with disabilties from high school age to adults.
They just delivered their first batch of flower pots, bird baths (or feeders) along with a series of plates and trays all stamped with haikus like "I am one who eats his breakfast gazing at the morning glories". So clever, brightly colored, handmade, functional and cool ~ AND for a good cause

From our friends at American Craft Week ~
"We want everyone involved in American Craft Week 2012, to know we are thankful for YOU! Thank you for participating, supporting and spreading the word about American craft.
